Sights and Sounds Thirty-Two

What a terrific weekend. We went to see Dean Wareham and Britta Phillips play in an old church in Augusta, GA. They play the 13 Most Beautiful: Songs For Andy Warhol's Screen Tests followed by a Galaxie 500 set. Simply awesome. Today we drove home through the back roads of SC. Interesting.

Sights and Sounds Thirty-One

I took this pic of Titus Bramble (aka Title B) this evening. I love it when he perches himself on the fence like an owl. He's a cool kitty!

For fans of shoegazing these are fantastic songs by a contemporary band from Bristol who have nailed the sound perfectly. Love these..great album too.

Sights and Sounds Twenty-Eight

Don't know what the sunset was like where you live tonight but in Charleston it was gorgeous.

Sights and Sounds Twenty-Seven

So Hurricane Earl was off our coast today. It created some monster waves. Steve and I went to Folly Beach out to take some pics.

So i went out to take pics again tonight. Got a small amount of footage for a time lapse and did a sunset time lapse with some success. Here are some nice stills.

Sights and Sounds Twenty-Six

I have been learning how to do time lapse photography this weekend. It's been very tricky. I haven't completed my video yet but here's a still image taken this evening. I lost several hundred images of the sunset due to my SD Card malfunctioning. I switched cards to shoot in the direction of Ben Sawyer Bridge. I got a few lovely images but i will have to go out another night when i can spend a couple of hours out there as i need to take 1 frame every 20 seconds with a shutter speed of around 5 seconds or more and since the video I am making is 24 frames per second what I shot tonight lasted a fraction of the time that it needed to be.  It really is amazing the light a camera sees compared to our eyes. The stars are awesome.
